A foldable cardboard chair

This unique type of chair is one of the first few steps on helping climate change issues. Made of laminated corrugated cardboard, much lighter than traditional wooden piece of furniture and what sets it from the rest, it's very eco-friendly!

Wine Cabinet

I had an hour to make this design before hopping on to bed last night. Sometimes, ideas popped into my head when I'm about to call a day off. Good thing that I keep my pen and paper beside me to do rough sketches and later on enhanced them using photoshop.

Design Concept

When a client asks me a couple of designs of a certain kind of furniture, it is always the "concept" I consider. Client's preference is also important.

But, what I really do first is make a series of studies. Taking that it's an accent table is required, I come up with different designs. From traditional with intricate details to simple, sleek modern look. I do penciled sketches at first and then have them enhanced using Adobe Photoshop. And from there, transformations are drawn.

There are also clients who has a specific style that they need me to incorporate in their drawings which makes it easy to work with.

Concept differs from the style, shape, color and materials used. I think it would be best that you could have a good reference with you whether you're a pro or are still learning the process of conceptualizing an excellent kind of piece.

I think these cool and funny armchairs are very comfortable to sit on long breaks of coffee chats. Even kids would love how playful they are to look at.

Yes?

Should his antidote mount a stumbling soup?

Paint in a breeze!

A few years ago, I helped a friend in one of her Home Renovation projects. Among any other things, choosing the right paint color was one of her concerns. When I saw this product, Paint Color Cheat Sheets on the net I can now imagine how easy it will be for designers and painters to get their jobs done in a breeze.

Aside from that it's tried and tested by professionals, it can also be a helpful tool for someone who's into DIY projects at home. You can never go wrong with each colors for they appear as the same as what they look like on the swatch. A palette of colors to choose from and a bonus tutorial is also included in the package.

Cyber Workstations

I could just imagine one day, we will all be sitting on these cool workstations. :)

Wanna try this very cool bed?

The best time anyone could have in a day is to get a good enough sleep. With all the work and errands you hurdle each day, don't you think pampering yourself in this kind of bed makes it so relaxed and peaceful?
I'm a crazy lover for contemporary designs. And this bed fits exactly my so-called "ideal bedroom" in mind. All you need is to zip and unzip to use it. I don't know when can i have one of these but definitely she's on top of my Christmas wish list!

The day I learned

Being a part of a Design staff of an export company, is not an easy job. Like any profession, it takes a lot of hard work, patience and determination.

That's why when someone came up to me one day, and offered me to work as one of their design staffs I was very hesitant to give it a nod. Mainly because I do not have the experience that the job calls for. So any things were running up in my mind at that time, thinking that I would make a mess on being part of the team. But my friend convinced me so well. They needed someone to fill in the position that has been left for months already. He said that he believed that I am capable of doing the job as far as it's relativity to the degree I finished in college is concerned.

Thinking it in a positive manner, I gave it a yes.

I have never been so nervous in my whole life. But that first day that I had to start my work really panicked the whole side of me. Meeting with my team mates for the first time, and staring at those rough sketches for the first time added so much tense that it made my eyeballs popped right out from my eye!

After a couple of hours of explaining and getting through with the details, I started to convince myself that this will be the biggest task I need to learn and perform within my toughest creativity. I had queries and even asked out a couple of questions from the basics down to it's technicalities.

With those answers in mind, I did told myself... these ideas will soon take me somewhere in this craft. I may still have doubts right now, but I know, I will get to learn and improve my skills in the field of furniture and design.

Randoms

One of the reasons why I came up with a new blog is to write about my passion in furniture designing. I worked as one for years and sharing the knowledge I have learned here on my page makes it so fulfilling for me. I don't know if many are interested on this kind of topic but for someone who has poured such amount of time and effort to learn about it's technicalities, it really is an achievement for me.

In the next few days, I will be sharing my ideas, opinions and reviews of different fixtures that I will come across with, whether it's from the internet or from places I have visited.

Also, since I want to maximize my time on surfing the web for hours, I might be fixing some things on my page for other Blog opportunities.

Geometric chest of drawers

Back when I was working for a furniture company, I always play with geometric designs. I like how simple and clean it looks yet there are plenty of innovative designs you can think of. Simplicity of those curves and lines are pleasant to the eye and of those to a specific area where you could see how it fits them there.

Just like this cool furniture dresser I found on the net.

Isn't it so playful to look at?

Back to blogging

A lot of things has kept me busy for a couple of months that's why only now that I get to update this blog. I have missed a lot of ideas but then I have decided to still share them in a few days. Especially now that I have much more time to focus on posting more stuff that I could have back then.

So, I guess I'm officially back to blogging.
